Chocolate Fondue Recipe - from Switzerland
This Swiss Fondue Recipe is a less sweet than the USA version, with a greater proportion of quality ingredients.
- 1/3 cup whipping cream
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons Grand Marnier (optional)
Bring the whipping cream to simmer in heavy medium saucepan. Reduce heat to low. Add chopped chocolate and 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier (optional); whisk until mixture is smooth. Remove fondue from heat and blend in remaining 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier (optional). Transfer chocolate to fondue pot. Place pot on rechaud base with heater lit. Serve with angel food cake pieces, lady fingers and a variety of fruit for dipping.
