Can you use Kuchenprofi Raclettes in a commercial setting?
Posting date: 14th October 2010 14:12
Hi there, a few questions for you. Kuchenprofi emphasis that their raclette grills are for "home use only". Is there a specific reason for this or is the point that the commercial customer must take full responsibility through risk assessment. Are you aware of any of your raclette grills used in a commercial environment. On the Kuchenprofi web site coloured options of the two person raclette grill are shown can you supply these? Should my assessment of the project go well I am considering opening a raclette restaurant, starting small I would wish to order 6 of the two person raclette grills plus spare stones, dishes etc. Is additional discount available? I am based in Hull, East Yorkshire, UK Many thanks Mike
Dear Mike
Thank you for your enquiry. Apologies it has taken a few days to get back to you but we wanted to investigate this fully.
The Kuchenprofi Raclette grills can be used in a commercial setting, however, they will not come with any warranty or guarantee. The recommendation is, if used in a commercial setting, that the grill is turned off between orders as the heating element is not designed for constant use and the life of the unit will be reduced if left on for the length of an entire service.
We have had customers in the past use these grills for their restaurant, one customer ordered 8 grills and we have not had any negative comments from them. There is no reason why you cannot use the Kuchenprofi raclettes in a commercial environment but please do be aware that you will experience a reduced unit life and they will be sold without a guarantee.
If you order multiple quantities we can provide you with a trade quote. We are only able to supply you with the hotstone version as a two person as shown on our website, not the two person coloured version that you have requested. - Yours Matthew Wise
